Cover: Julian Lage makes his debut on Blue Note Records with Squint, a trio date featuring Jorge Roeder on bass and Dave King on drums. For this release, Lage focuses on songwriting with nine original tunes that look at the art of singer-songwriter music through the lens of a jazz musician. The set reflects Lage's love for early rock and blues as well as the American songbook. The album was co-produced by guitarist Armand Hirsch and singer-songwriter Margaret Glaspy.

Features:

  • A look at the making of In Harmony, a beautiful album of duets from Roy Hargrove and Mulgrew Miller
  • John Pizzarelli presents Better Days Ahead, his solo-guitar homage to Pat Metheny
